Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you download, purchase, and use Beatscale.

These Terms of Service, called the "Terms," govern your use of Beatscale: Converter & Tools, called "Beatscale" or the "App." Beatscale is provided by 77beats. All rights reserved.

By downloading, purchasing, or using Beatscale, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Your use is also subject to the rules of the store where you obtained Beatscale.

1. Who may use Beatscale

You may use Beatscale if you can legally enter into this agreement. If local law requires a parent or guardian to approve your use, that person must review and accept these Terms for you.

Beatscale does not require a 77beats account. You are responsible for securing your device and the store account used to obtain the App or purchase Premium.

2. What Beatscale provides

Beatscale is an offline-first conversion and utility toolkit. Its features may include unit conversion, date tools, Network Health, color sampling, document scanning, text recognition, QR-code reading, image editing, and PDF tools. Features can differ by device, operating system, region, App version, hardware capability, and Premium status.

The App may change over time. 77beats may add, improve, limit, or remove a feature when reasonably needed for security, compatibility, legal compliance, product quality, or continued operation.

3. License

77beats grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Beatscale on devices that you own or control, for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules.

If you obtained Beatscale through the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard EULA governs the license to the Apple version of the App instead of this section where the two differ.

The App is licensed, not sold. 77beats and its licensors keep all rights not expressly granted to you. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses, which are available in the App.

You may not:

  • copy, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App except as allowed by law or store rules
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or try to extract the source code, except where the law expressly permits it
  • bypass Premium controls, security protections, usage limits, or technical restrictions
  • use the App to break a law, infringe another person's rights, distribute harmful material, or interfere with a device, network, or service
  • misrepresent Beatscale output as certified, professionally reviewed, or guaranteed by 77beats

4. Your files and content

You keep ownership of the files, images, text, scans, and other content you use with Beatscale. 77beats does not claim ownership of that content.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right and permission to scan, edit, convert, save, print, or share the content. You must review the destination and the final output before sharing sensitive or confidential material.

Most content processing takes place on your device. When you choose to share, export, save, or print, the destination you select may receive the content and apply its own terms and privacy practices.

5. Results require review

Beatscale is a general-purpose utility. Results can be affected by rounding, selected precision, source quality, OCR errors, compression, device capabilities, unit definitions, regional conventions, calendar rules, and software limitations.

You must review results before relying on them. Use an appropriate qualified professional, certified instrument, authoritative source, or approved process when accuracy has safety, legal, medical, financial, engineering, tax, construction, laboratory, navigation, or other serious consequences.

Beatscale does not provide legal, medical, financial, engineering, or other professional advice. A result is not a certification, measurement guarantee, or substitute for professional judgment.

6. Document, image, OCR, and PDF tools

Scanning and text recognition may miss, change, or misread characters, handwriting, layouts, tables, signatures, or low-quality source material. Image and PDF operations may change visual quality, metadata, formatting, file size, page geometry, or compatibility.

Keep an independent copy of important source files. Review every generated document before deleting the original, sending it to another person, filing it, or using it in a formal process. 77beats is not a document archive or backup service.

7. Network Health

Network Health performs a short, user-started check against the public Cloudflare, Google, or Quad9 target you select. It is not a complete speed test, security audit, service-level measurement, outage confirmation, or inspection of your local network. Results vary with distance, routing, device state, Wi-Fi conditions, provider behavior, and current network load.

Do not use Network Health as the only basis for an emergency response, security decision, contractual claim, or critical operational decision. You are responsible for following your network provider's terms and applicable law.

8. Premium purchase

Beatscale Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription. The available product, price, taxes, currency, and payment method are displayed and processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Premium is tied to the relevant store account and purchase record. Restoration depends on the store, RevenueCat, device compatibility, and the continued availability of Beatscale. A purchase may not transfer to another platform or a different store account.

On Android, starting a Premium purchase or restore requires an internet connection. Beatscale is distributed with Google Play's automatic integrity protection, and a purchase or restore may be unavailable if the installation is unrecognized or modified.

These protections do not change ownership of a valid store purchase. After RevenueCat has verified Premium and Beatscale has cached a signed entitlement on that installation, Premium tools may remain available without an internet connection. Access remains subject to the store purchase record and may be removed after a refund, reversal, revocation, or fraudulent transaction.

"Lifetime" or "lifetime access" means access to the purchased Beatscale Premium features for the supported life of Beatscale on the platform where you purchased it. It does not promise that the App will be distributed, supported, or compatible forever. It does not include separate future apps or services unless 77beats says so in writing.

Refunds, payment disputes, and purchase cancellations are handled under the app store's rules and applicable consumer law. A refunded, reversed, or fraudulent transaction may result in Premium access being removed. Deleting local App data does not create a refund and does not erase the store's transaction record.

9. Third-party services

Beatscale relies on third-party software and services for store distribution, purchases, purchase verification, crash and stability reporting, on-device text recognition, QR-code scanning, supported document scanning, and optional Network Health targets. These include Google Play, the Apple App Store, RevenueCat, Google Firebase Crashlytics, Google ML Kit, Cloudflare Public DNS, Google Public DNS, and Quad9.

Third-party services may change, become unavailable, or operate under separate terms. 77beats is not responsible for a third party's service, network, content, or independent decision. Your use of a third-party service must follow its terms.

10. Privacy

The Beatscale Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read it.

11. Intellectual property

Beatscale, its design, software, branding, text, and original assets are owned by 77beats or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. "Beatscale" and "77beats" may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without written permission.

If you believe content in the App infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact [email protected] with enough detail for us to review the claim.

12. Updates, availability, and termination

Operating-system updates, store requirements, hardware limits, security changes, or third-party dependencies may affect the App. You may need to install an update to continue using some features. 77beats does not promise that every feature will remain available on every device or operating-system version.

You may stop using Beatscale at any time and remove it from your device. 77beats may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the App, or create a security or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.

13. App-store terms

Apple App Store

If you obtained Beatscale from Apple, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your license to the App. These Terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it. Apple's agreement and Apple Media Services terms control where they conflict with these Terms on licensing, permitted device use, maintenance, support, warranties, product claims, intellectual-property claims, or store obligations.

These Terms are between you and 77beats. Apple is not responsible for Beatscale or its support except where Apple's terms or applicable law say otherwise. You must comply with Apple's usage rules, applicable third-party terms, and export and sanctions laws.

Google Play

If you obtained Beatscale from Google Play, Google Play's terms govern acquisition, payment, refunds, and permitted store use where applicable. These Terms are between you and 77beats. Google is not responsible for Beatscale or support for it.

If a mandatory app-store rule conflicts with these Terms, the mandatory rule controls only to the extent of that conflict.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beatscale is provided "as is" and "as available." 77beats disclaims implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. 77beats does not promise that the App will meet every requirement, remain uninterrupted or error-free, preserve every file, or produce a particular result.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where applicable law prohibits a limit.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 77beats and its licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data arising from Beatscale or a third-party service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 77beats' total liability for all claims related to Beatscale will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Beatscale and CAD $50.

These limits apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy does not fully compensate you. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so part of this section may not apply to you.

16. Changes to this document

77beats may update these Terms to reflect changes to Beatscale, app-store rules, providers, or law. The revised Terms will show a new "Last updated" date. If a material change requires notice or consent, 77beats will provide it through the App or another reasonable method. Continuing to use the App after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms, where permitted by law.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The appropriate court or forum will be determined under applicable law, and nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections or any right you have to use another law or forum.

Before filing a claim, you and 77beats agree to make a reasonable effort to resolve the issue informally by email. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a consumer complaint process.

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

18. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as much as needed, and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without 77beats' written consent, but 77beats may transfer them as part of a business reorganization or sale. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and mandatory store terms form the agreement about your use of Beatscale.
